Regarding the accusations against Morena for the alleged links between Juan Pablo Penilla and party members, the same lawyer of “El Mayo” recognized Pedro Haces as his friend .

This was stated by Juan Pablo Penilla in a publication he shared on November 16, 2023, in which he highlighted his participation in an event in which then-President AMLO participated.

This was the tenth congress of the Autonomous Confederation of Workers and Employees of Mexico ( Catem ), a union organization headed by the same federal deputy of Morena, Pedro Haces Barba.

Regarding this event, the controversial lawyer Juan Pablo Penilla highlighted that “once again” he accompanied his friend, also businessman Pedro Haces, and the then president AMLO.

That is to say, Juan Pablo Penilla's attendance at the event held in 2023 and headed by the now ex-president, was due to the fact that Pedro Haces had extended the corresponding invitation to him .

It was the journalist specialized in security and drug trafficking issues, Anabel Hernández , who asserted that Pedro Haces Barba is a front man and operator of the criminal group of the Sinaloa Cartel.

In his podcast, he asserted that the deputy has a long-standing connection with the organization , as he claimed that he worked on behalf of the Beltrán Leyva brothers when they were still part of the Sinaloa Cartel.

Elaborating on the case, he said that a romantic partner of Arturo Beltrán Leyva revealed to him that she saw Pedro Haces "face to face" when he was the "filter" for the meetings of Héctor Beltrán Leyva's wife.

Explaining that Héctor Beltrán Leyva's wife was in charge of the criminal businesses, he stated that there are photos that demonstrate the closeness of the Morena deputy with key figures in organized crime.

Despite these accusations and the recent dissemination of the message from Juan Pablo Penilla who recognizes him as a friend , Pedro Haces has not yet commented on the matter.
